I started working on a new story that will be sent to fans in a series of emails. It’s about a women with no reflection and a man with no shadow who fall in love. I used to think that I didn’t write love stories, but right now I’m rereading the first draft of Flying Lessons and realizing that it’s pretty much a love story. Anyway, this latest story is really fun to write and full of quirky characters.
My second proof of The Box came through my mail slot today and the new cover is so good. It’s exactly what I envisioned. I ‘m so pleased. There’s still a problem with the proof though. The top margin is too small. I’m not sure how that happened. When I saw it I was all annoyed and thought that I couldn’t believe that CreateSpace messed up my top margin. Then I looked in my original file and saw that somehow magically my top margin was really small. Whoops. I don’t remember changing it though.
“I can’t believe you didn’t show it to me before you sent away for another proof,” my husband said. He thinks he knows everything. I’m perfectly capable of formatting my novel. Look at how good I’ve done so far.
Everything is fixed now. This should be the last proof I have to order.
I’m off to a barbecue tonight. It’ll be fun. I need the time off.
