My Next Novel

I’ve been so busy working on polishing up The Box and getting everything the way I want it with that book that I have neglected writing. How can I call myself a writer if I’m not really writing?

So I’ve started working on my second novel which is tentatively called Flying Lessons. I’m about 3/4’s of the way through it now. I’ve been working on this novel way longer than I expected to. I hope to finish the first draft before the summer is over.

I’ll also be working on doing some promoting for The Box. I’m going to write a series of short stories about the characters in the novel. So you’ll have that to look forward to.

Trailer Released

It’s amazing what I can do with Windows Movie Maker, a few stock photos and my husband’s musical talents.  The trailer for The Box is finally out and I have to say it looks pretty darn good. Watching the trailer makes me want to read the book, but I don’t have to because I wrote it and have read it a million times already. Kindle Sales for The Box

My first published novel The Box has sold a few copies on Amazon without me even putting any effort into it. I put the novel up on the Kindle at the end of last year and forgot about it. I didn’t realize that I was actually getting sales until I decided to look at the listing on Amazon this weekend and noticed it had a review.

Anyway, I managed to sell 11 copies of The Box without even trying. Imagine what I could do if I put some effort into it? I’ve decided to put the novel up on Createspace to be available in paperback. I’m also going to put it on Smashwords and other ebook publishers. I’m working on formatting for these new ventures now.

Things really are looking up. I’ve started working on my second novel again too.

I’ll be writing some new flash fiction involving characters from The Box. Look for those to be posted here in upcoming weeks.

The Box Trailer

I’ve been working on getting the trailer for my first novel, The Box. I’ve seen other people’s book trailers online and decided it would be easy enough for me to figure out how to make one. So far so good. I’m just waiting for my husband to write some music for it and we’ll be off and running.

I’m also going to start producing a weekly podcast. I figure that podcasting is a good way to get the word out about my books. So I’ll read a chapter from The Box as a podcast once a week. I really love listening to podcasts and I’m sure their are other people who like listening to them too. If there weren’t nobody would make them, right?
