The United Kingdom is covered with snow or at least that’s what I’ve heard. There is actually no snow where I live. One of the major airports that is not very far from my home was even closed today. I saw pictures of it on the news and there was a heck of a lot of snow there, but still there is no snow here.
If I were a kid in school I’d be pretty mad about this situation. I remember getting up in the morning and turning on channel 2 to watch the list of school closings scroll by on snowy days when I was in elementary school. My school was never closed. Our school superintendent was from a crazy snowy state where they never closed schools. It always seemed like every school district would close their schools except mine. Every kid wants extra days off from school. Those unexpected days at home seem to be so much more fun than the ones you know about in advance.
I just looked out the window and it’s snowing. I know a few kids who will be very happy tomorrow morning.
